What is a Clark Vision?

People have often asked me what is a Clark Vision? Think of renowned writers like W.E.B. Du Bois paired with the narrative passion of Langston Hughes. Think of Frederick Douglass, James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Malcolm X, Octavia E. Butler, Spike Lee, and Ta-Nehisi Coates, all who have inspired me. Now, I must inspire you. Through the spirit of my ancestors, I am able to present this Clark Vision. I am able to write stories that connect with our ancestors. My imagination is my weapon. And creative writing is my gift. But my vision is much more than what I can offer alone. Clark Vision is a united cause, one that must be uplifted through a collective people. Clark Vision in order for it to sustain must be recognized, revered, and revolutionized by our culture…

Black culture.

Representation has long been a challenge in literature, art, entertainment, and intellectual property, with limited progress in fields beyond basketball, football, and hip-hop music. Even in areas where representation exists, these brands are often not black-owned. Clark Vision extends far beyond a single book; it transcends my own work. Consider the scale of Marvel Comics, DC Comics, or Disney – these brands generate wealth and influence that surpasses the lifetime earnings of any rapper or professional athlete. To achieve true autonomy, we must establish a brand that solidifies our self-governance. Clark Vision represents not only a brand for us but also an untapped opportunity. Its potential will soon become apparent. I am committed to creating this platform to empower us and secure our freedom. Our greatest obstacle as a people is our lack of unity.

Joey Bada$$, a New York rapper and actor, aptly noted, “there is enough wealth for all of us. However, we need to consolidate our resources. This is a cultural issue that requires our attention.”

So in short, a Clark Vision is essentially freedom through unity.
